Sandvedhaugen Kindegarten

Sandvedhaugen kindergarten is located on Sandved with Sandneshallen and Sandved school as the nearest neighbor. In Sandvedhaugen, we emphasize well-being, diversity and inclusion. The goal is increased well-being for all children in kindergarten to maximize their opportunities for development, learning and life skills. Facilitating children’s independence to create mastery experiences, as well as participation and friendship, are important factors in achieving increased well-being. We arrange for the children in our kindergarten to experience well-being and community through play and everyday activities. We participate in Sandnes municipality’s initiative “The development-supporting kindergarten”. This initiative aims to strengthen staff awareness and competence on how best to support children’s development and learning through daily interaction.
